Ryan Hart Fake Success Movie Inspiration: War Dogs (2016) Artist Statement: War Dogs is a film portraying two young entrepreneurs struggling to find success in their lives until they decide to become illegal arms dealers. The objects are placed on an exercise mat, representing the job the main character (David) had prior to going into arms dealing. David was frustrated with his occupation of massaging/training the wealthy/elderly. The loose change represents the struggling income of both protagonists. In the end of the film, their string of illegal arms dealing ended due to a wire-tapped employee at a local dry cleaners, represented by the tie. In attempt to capture the essence of being 'interrogated' the lighting was very dim in the photo except for one light source.
